About the workshop
Making Fabric Flowers is a 2-hour workshop suitable for everyone. You will be using wires, stem wrap and material to create stunning fabric flowers — perfect for a small vase, as a corsage, or to add interest to a favourite hat or fascinator.
All materials are provided on the day. The aim is to make two full flowers and three buds each. Once you’ve made these, you’ll be able to use the techniques at home to make more flowers of various designs.
Because each flower only requires small pieces of fabric, this is a great way of using up material scraps — or to repurpose a once-cherished item of clothing as a memento or keepsake.
Whatever you decide to do with your finished piece, you are sure to have fun, meet new people and share ideas. Oh, and there will be cake! 🍰
If you have a special pair of sharp scissors you like to use, or if you need left-handed scissors, do please bring them along. 🙂
